Three days in the open

You pick your section once and live with it for three days

The "Covered" column in the table is the one most people skip when picking a stand. If yours says Uncovered, or Partial — which in Gold means the front rows, the ones with the best view, are in the sun — you are counting on September sun for three days. And almost nobody plans for the opposite: with no re-entry, if a storm rolls in mid-afternoon there is nowhere to go. A reusable poncho weighs less than a phone, comes in a pack of two, and is one of the few things here you cannot sort out once you are inside.

And there is a column the table does not have that decides just as many hours: what you are going to sit on. Pelouse is general admission — green areas with no assigned seat — and in Bronze the seat exists but it is hard plastic. In both you end up making the same comparison by day two, because sessions run morning and afternoon. A folding cushion folds into your backpack and works as well on grass as on plastic. What it is not, and this is worth keeping straight, is a chair: chairs and folding chairs are banned throughout the venue.

The circuit confirms capacity for visitors with reduced mobility in sections 1, 2, 13, 14, 15, 16, with accessible toilets and accessible parking subject to availability. Book through the official channel stating your requirement: not every grandstand has an accessible space.

What matters more than it looks

Shade, because the pass covers three days. There is no single-day ticket: you buy Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In a Madrid September that adds up to a lot of hours in the sun, and only the Silver Plus stands (sections 8, 8A, 11 and 13) are described as covered without caveats. Gold is covered except for the front rows — which are exactly the ones with the best view.
You cannot leave and come back in. Re-entry is not allowed once your ticket has been scanned, so your grandstand decides where you eat, where you shelter and which Fan Zone you can use across twelve hours of the venue being open.
The Fan Zone you get. It is tied to your section, not just your category: Bronze gets you into Barrio and Distrito, but Gold 9 goes to Monumental and the rest of Gold to Bulevar Cibeles (section 2 also gets the Paseo Pit Lane within that same zone). If the atmosphere between sessions matters to you, check this before you check the view.
