Who processes your data

Madrid Race Guide (madridraceguide.com) is an independent editorial project covering the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid. It is not affiliated with the FIA, Formula One World Championship Ltd., IFEMA MADRID or the event organisers.

For anything concerning your personal data, including the rights described below, write to contact.dreaminraw@gmail.com.

What we collect and what for

You can read the entire site without giving us any personal data and without accepting any optional cookie. These are the only processing operations that exist:

  • Your email address, if you subscribe to the newsletter. We store the address you type into the form, the date you signed up and which site you signed up from. It is used to tell you about Grand Prix news and nothing else. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by writing to us. We keep the record until you ask to be removed.
  • Browsing data, only if you accept it. If you accept optional cookies we load the third-party services listed below, which record in aggregate how the page is used and attribute outbound clicks. If you decline, those scripts are never loaded. This site shows no advertising.
  • Server logs. Like any website, the hosting platform keeps access logs including IP address and browser. They exist to keep the service running and to detect abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the security of the site.

Who it is shared with

We do not sell personal data. This site shows no advertising and is funded by affiliate links. If you accept optional cookies, the providers listed below receive browsing data; if you decline, nothing is sent to them. These are all of them:

  • Google Cloud / Firebase. Hosts the site and the database holding the details you send us. The project's servers are configured in the European region europe-west4 (Netherlands).
  • Microsoft Clarity. Usage analytics, only if you accept optional cookies. Microsoft is a US company, so accepting involves an international data transfer covered by its standard contractual clauses.
  • Google Analytics (Firebase). Google's web analytics, only if you accept optional cookies. It records in aggregate which pages are visited, session duration and traffic sources. Google is a US company; accepting involves an international data transfer covered by its standard contractual clauses.

Links to other sites

We link to third-party sites (the circuit, official ticketing, accommodation search). Some of those links are affiliate links: if you book through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Once you leave madridraceguide.com the destination site's privacy policy applies, and we have no control over it.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, its rectification or its erasure, and you can object to processing, request its restriction or ask us to send it to you in a portable format. Write to contact.dreaminraw@gmail.com from the address concerned; we reply within one month at the latest.

If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es), which is the competent supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

If we add any new processing, we update this page and its revision date before the change goes live, not afterwards.
